3 mattress has to be removed to fold but the included pad will slide into folded crib for storage. I have decided for a dream on me portable mini crib review because it s a beautiful crib with high potential but with a confusing name. There is one green side and one white side the white side seemed a little softer my in opinion but it is like comparing a firm to an extra firm mattress some but not much difference.
